The Role
As the Open Space Project Officer , you will play a key role in delivering public open space projects and programs for NSW. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies and community groups, to develop and implement strategies and enduring projects that enhances public open space, promotes sustainability and increases wellbeing.
You will provide a range of project management and support services (including the preparation of project plans, issues logs, briefing notes, and milestone lists) to contribute to the development and delivery of initiatives for public open space.
About you
You will previous experience supporting multiple projects and meeting deadlines, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to collaborate effectively with diverse groups, a proactive approach to problem-solving and strong understanding of public space design and management principles
Key knowledge and experience
- Project and change management skills and experience
- Understanding of planning, policy, reforms and related legislation
- Understanding of the machinery of Government and the policy process
Essential requirements
- University degree qualification (in related industry such as landscape architecture, urban design, and urban planning) or other equivalent qualification and/or relevant experience
