Rigging Supervisor

Ventia is seeking a skilled and dedicated Rigging Supervisor to support the management, technical competency, and coordination of all rigging and cranage activities at Port Kembla. If you have a passion for excellence and a knack for leadership, we want you on our team!
Your Responsibilities:
- Event Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and supervise rigging events within shutdowns and project works.
- Steel Erection Projects: Play a key role in planning and involvement in steel erection projects.
- Rigging Inspections: Oversee all rigging inspections and maintain registers.
- Site-Wide Gear Management: Manage all site-wide rigging gear.
- Collaboration: Work with other supervisors to achieve key rigging outcomes on their respective sites.
- Safety Documentation: Write Work Method Statements and Job Safety Analysis for rigging activities on projects and shutdown works.
- Project Supervision: Supervise mechanical, structural, and shutdown project works.
- Training: Provide training for rigging activities, including Verification of Competency.
- Subcontractor Liaison: Liaise and provide guidance to subcontractors working for Ventia.
- Equipment Management: Organize repair and replacement of lifting equipment with suppliers.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adequate levels and quality of rigging gear across sites, audit conditions, storage, and spares.
- Problem Solving: Identify and report problems in processes or systems and recommend solutions.
- Procedure Development: Work with Ventia to develop procedures and standards for lifting and rigging.
- Advanced Rigging Certification
- Front Line Supervision Certification (Cert 3)
- Experience: Worked in structural and mechanical projects with heavy lift experience.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of structural drawings for steel erection and experience in complex rigging situations.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and train teams.
