About Us
Located in Lightning Ridge NSW 2834, we are looking for a centre director to join our cosy centre. You will be welcomed in a positive and welcoming environment in a well-resourced, quality child care centre. Centre operates 48 weeks a year, with children of 2 - 5 years old. It’s the ideal job for semi-retired directors or someone looking for a change in lifestyle!

The Role
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of our long day care
- Be a dependable educational leader and work with a small team of educators
- Approve programs from educators and contribute ideas
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children and team members
- Ensure all documentation adheres to regulatory standards
- Communicate closely with parents and service provider
- Honest, diligent and passionate character
Role Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent)*
- Prior experience as an assistant Director or Director (Preferred)*
- Solid knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) and Rating and Assessment process
- Professional verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work 30 hours + per week
- Ability to work during shift hours (ranging from) 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday
- Applicants must have unrestricted work rights in Australia, either as a citizen or permanent resident.

*Pay depends on qualifications and experience. Diploma equivalent includes a Bachelor of Education (Primary), a combined or double degree in Bachelor of Education, an undergraduate degree and an accredited graduate entry teaching degree).
Salary
$38.59 - $54 per hour
Salary is paid according to the salary table at Australian Government Fairwork Pay Guide https://calculate.fairwork.gov.au/payguides/fairwork/ma000120/pdf
As of October 2024, it is $38.59/per hour (Children's services employee - Director - level 6.1 on commencement) - $43.36/per hour, expected salary range in 2025 is AUD73,150 - 90,000
