About the Role
As a Speech Pathologist at The Grove Academy, you’ll play a key role in supporting children’s communication development through engaging, evidence-based programs in collaboration with educators and families. You’ll work within our mainstream early learning centres, providing speech pathology services to children aged 0-5 years. You’ll collaborate with a passionate team and contribute to creating enriching environments that inspire curiosity, learning, and growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments and delivering evidence-based individual and group interventions
- Collaborating with and supporting The Grove Academy Centre Directors and educators through consultation, training, and professional development
- Supporting centre directors and educators in creating enriching environments that foster speech, language, emergent literacy, and social-emotional development
- Building positive relationships with families through effective communication and regular face-to-face interactions
- Communicating goals, strategies, and progress with staff and families using customised technology
- Engaging in the ongoing evaluation and development of speech pathology programs
- Contributing to a culture of collaboration, learning, and fun
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone who is passionate, enthusiastic, and eager to make a difference. To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or equivalent
- Membership of Speech Pathology Australia (or eligibility for membership)
- A positive, warm, and confident personality
- Clinical interest in providing speech pathology services in early childhood settings
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- A commitment to supporting children’s access and participation in early learning
- Working with Children Check and National Police Check
