As a Kitchen Hand at Goodstart, you'll serve fresh, delivered and delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care. Hours are 7.30am - 10.00am Monday to Friday.
As a Goodstart Educator, you'll become a vital part of our team, working alongside Senior Educators and our Educational Leader to craft and enhance exceptional learning programs for our children. Your dedication to safety and inclusivity will ensure every child thrives and feels valued in their learning experiences. Hours are flexible around the Kitchenhand role and you can work up to 38 hours per week in total.

This small, 57-place centre excels in creating a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive environment for our children in Toddlers (15months to 2.5years), Pre-Kindy (2.5years to 4years) and Kindergarten (3.5years to 5years). With diverse and experienced staff from Australia, India, the Philippines and the Torres Strait Islands, the centre values strong bonds between home and the centre, ensuring holistic child development through tailored care environments and culturally rich interactions. Activities are designed to meet the specific needs of each age group, promoting physical, cognitive, and social-emotional growth. You’ll need:
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting (Kitchen Hand role)
• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent) (dual Kitchen Hand/Educator role)
• Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
