About the role
Mater is looking for a GP Liaison Officer to join the Corporate Affairs team ! This is a permanent, part-time role working 38 hours per fortnight based at Newstead but requires regular visits to Redland and Springfield campuses.
The GP Liaison Officer protects and enhances the Mater brand and supports business revenue and growth targets by contributing to and managing engagement strategies for Mater Southeast Queensland with a deliberate focus on the General Practitioner community.
Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
The GP Liaison Officer reports to the Manager - Medical Engagement and collaborates with Southeast Queensland hospital leadership teams. The responsibilities of the role include:
- Work collaboratively with the Corporate Affairs team to develop and implement effective localised strategies in line with our corporate strategy and initiatives.
- Foster exceptional relationships with the General Practitioner community to enhance engagement and promote the Mater brand.
- Develop engagement plans aligned with Health Service Plans, supporting our private growth targets.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the drivers required to support growth in a private healthcare environment.
- Prepare and deliver analytical reports, proposals, and presentations as requested.
- Contribute to the business development CRM by consistently capturing qualitative data to ensure reporting is of an exceptional standard to support business needs.
- Attend and represent Mater at community, medical community, industry functions, events, and conferences.
- Identify business risks, provide ongoing tracking and reporting of stakeholder activity, and analyse business data.
About you
You will have a tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience in marketing, communications or medical sales and meet the below criteria:
- Knowledge of contemporary marketing, communication and engagement principles and evolving trends.
- Proficiency in managing brand assets, digital asset management systems and digital platforms.
- Experience working with professionals in a fast-paced service delivery environment.
- Familiarity with the health, education, research, and philanthropy sectors is desirable.
- Highly developed writing, communication, organisation and planning skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, allowing collaboration and negotiation with staff, clients and external agencies at various levels.
- Quick learner of new technology, processes, markets and industries.
- Ability to engage and foster a positive work culture within the team.
- Skilled in planning and coordinating multiple projects within budget and allocated timeframes.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with proven ability to effectively problem solve in a highly complex environment.
