We’re on the lookout for a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiasticSupport Worker to assist an amazing individual who’s communicates through body language and facial expressions. If you're someone who's patient, calm and caring we want to hear from you!

The role will include assistance with community access and the use of a manual wheelchair for mobility.

Our client finds joy in listening to the 80s while appreciating peaceful walks or heading into the city and exploring new places. Taxi rides are another favorite activity, provided they are in a calm environment. Sensitivity to touch and noise is important to consider, as the client thrives in quiet settings where they can relax and engage at their own pace.

Shifts Available-

  • Monday, Wednesday & Friday's 9:00am to 12:00pm.

The hourly base rate is $ 34.45 /hr plus penalties for Evening, Night, Weekend and Public Holiday Shifts (sorry, rate not negotiable).

You will have support in your role via a comprehensive care plan and ongoing training and support from our awesome Support Specialist team.

Your key responsibilities & accountabilities:

  • To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist
  • Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Clients needs
  • Provide support to our Clients as required
  • Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner
  • Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required
  • Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients
  • To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals

To be successful you must:

  • Have experience in providing bowel therapy to clients or a willingness to learn
  • Experienced in Manual Handling
  • Resonate with the role description above
  • Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives
  • Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
  • Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
  • Hold Certificate III in disability or related fields (preferred)
  • Experience in bowel care/therapy (required)
