International locations have local finance functions, supported and overseen from the Australian head office.This role sits within the head office Australian accounting and compliance team. This is a hands-on accounting role that will offer you a wide range of financial and taxation experience as well as opportunity for future growth and development within the team or across the wider finance function. The ideal candidate will have excellent communicate skills, time management and organisational skills, attention to detail, a positive attitude and be driven to make a difference. This is a developmental role and will suit a candidate wanting growth in their career long term.
Job tasks and responsibilitiesPreparation of P&L and Balance Sheet statements including monthly journal processing, commentary and analysis;Preparation of general ledger Balance Sheet reconciliations and workpapers;Assisting with management, reconciliation and reporting related to Group wide assets;Treasury related tasks including daily cashflow reporting;Key involvement with the compilation of supporting documentation for the annual Group audit, including assisting with financial statements preparation;Key involvement in statutory compliance including, FBT, GST/BAS, income tax compliance and assisting with the annual taxation review; Involvement in tri-annual Stocktake and reconciliations;Administrative tasks as required.
Skills and experienceThe successful applicant will need the following:Relevant degree in Business, Accounting or Commerce;Minimum of 1-2 years' work experience in public or private accounting;Be looking for a long term career in Finance; CA/CPA partial/full;Proficiency in Microsoft Excel;Effective prioritisation and organisation skills;High attention to detail; andExcellent communication skills.
