Description:
We are seeking a Full Time Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Workshop Supervisor based out of our Crestmead depot reporting to the General Manager.
key responsibilities but not limited to:
- Truck, trailer service and repairs
- Scheduled maintenance
- Finding mechanical faults within our fleet
- Repair mechanical equipment in accordance with OEM specifications
- Carry out pre-inspections for truck and trailer COI’s,
- Participate in after-hours breakdown assistance where necessary,
- Observing safe work practice ensuring workshop is kept clean & tidy
- Organizing and checking any work required for workshop staff (e.g. apprentice and T.A)
- Checking and entering all paperwork and job cards
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Work well unsupervised with good time management skills,
- A commitment to safe work practices producing quality workmanship within the required timeframe,
- Accurate record keeping and job card management (experience with Gearbox software an advantage)
- Previous truck/heavy trailer fleet experience,
- Knowledge within Detroit and Cummins brands desirable,
- Diesel Mechanic trade qualification,
- HR Licence minimum, MC preferred
- Forklift ticket desirable but not essential
- Hard working and take pride in your work
