Supervisor – Mining
This is a rare and unique opportunity to join the site leadership of a global mining organisation with a vision for ambitious growth and an enviable record of community engagement, sustainability, and safety.
Reporting to the Superintendent - Mining, the Supervisor – Production will be responsible for supervising underground production activities, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
This role is offered on an 8/6 roster FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane and DIDO/BIBO from Cloncurry & Mt.Isa .
Key Responsibilities
- Plan daily mining activities to safely meet targets.
- Ensure all underground mining activities comply with relevant procedures and standards.
- Ensure all work is planned and executed safely, following site instructions and risk management processes.
- Inspect work areas and address hazards to maintain safe conditions underground.
- Collaborate with the Mining Coordinator to ensure compliance with schedule requirements.
About You
- To be considered, your skills should include:
- Proven supervisory experience in an underground mining environment, with a track record of leading teams to safely meet production targets.
- Experience applying risk management processes, safety procedures, and escalation protocols in a dynamic mining environment.
- Extensive knowledge of underground mining methods, and equipment, including load and haul operations.
- G1.G8.G9 ( Formerly S1.S2.S3).
- Certificate IV in Surface/Underground Operations or equivalent.
- Valid manual drivers licence.
- Senior first Aid.
- Queensland Security Explosives Clearance or ability to obtain one.
