The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced female support worker to provide one-on-one care for an 11-year-old girl with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD2). This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact in the life of a child. The role will involve working in the Tallebudgera area and supporting our client to engage with her interests, particularly her love of the outdoors and nature.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide compassionate and consistent support to a young girl with ASD2.
· Assist with daily activities, routines, and personal care as needed.
· Promote social interaction, emotional well-being, and independent life skills.
· Encourage and support outdoor activities and nature-based experiences.
· Implement and follow individual care plans, working collaboratively with family members and other support staff.
· Monitor and document progress, providing feedback to family and management.
About You: We are looking for a female support worker with the following qualities:
· Experience in supporting children with ASD2 or other developmental disabilities.
· A mature, patient, and empathetic approach with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
· A passion for outdoor activities and a willingness to engage in nature-based experiences.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
· Current NDIS Workers Screening Check.
· A current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
· First Aid and CPR Certification.
· Valid drivers license and access to a reliable and fully insured vehicle.
· Previous experience in a similar role would be highly regarded.
