Carmichael College is a Prep to Year 12 co-educational, non-denominational Christian College situated in Morayfield. The College was established in 2015 and is enjoying steady growth
The College is seeking applications from Christian professionals to fill a term-time only Part Time Secondary Science Laboratory Technician, starting 22nd April 2025 or close to.
The successful applicant will need to have qualifications in Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, or greater. Some experience in overseeing a laboratory setting will be viewed favourably.
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
- Have the ability to work from a Christian perspective.
- Have the ability to work collaboratively with all staff to support students
- Knowledge of and ability to undertake the assembling, cleaning and storing of laboratory apparatus and equipment; and adhere to the basic practices and procedures for the safe storage, handling, preparation and disposal of chemical and biological materials used in a school science program.
- Knowledge of and ability to competently use scientific oriented software applications and prepare chemical solutions of known concentration from bulk supplies.
- Maintain scientific equipment and consumable inventory, while upholding safety standards
- Establish and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships between the school and community, particularly in regard to the ethical obligations outlined in the School Code of Conduct.
Applicants must be practicing Christians, who are active in their own churches and subscribe to the College’s Statement of Faith and Staff Code of Conduct which can be found on our website or obtained from the College.
Applicants must be residents of Australia, the college does not offer sponsorship.
