With a commitment to exceptional customer service and the development of innovative and sustainable practices, our staff are qualified and trained in compliant and safe processing procedures.Based from our Yatala Branch, we currently have a Full Time opportunity for a Factory Sorter to join our branch to assist in the day-to-day operation of our recycling facility. We are looking for a get up and go team player who will always strive to get the job done, safely and within the required time-frames.
Role responsibilities:
- Perform pre-start checks on plant and equipment
- Sorting, scanning and dismantling of e-waste for destruction in accordance with processing requirements
- Accurately record information on inbound and outbound loads using ERP software
- Use Microsoft programs to record job related information
- Assist in the loading and unloading of vehicles
- Operate small battery powered and compressed air tools
- Utilising a small Pantech truck to perform destructions on clients site when required
- Operate mechanical plant as required i.e. forklift (if licensed), pallet jacks and shredding equipment in accordance with standards
- Ensure equipment and facilities are always maintained to a clean standard and carry out cleaning and minor maintenance as required
- Assist in other departments, as and when required
- Ensure Health and Safety standards are adhered to, ensuring Safety is our Top Priority
To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Valid Driver's Licence and own reliable car due to limited public transport
- Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Attention to detail
- Forklift licence advantageous
- Great physical stamina and manual dexterity - need ot be physically fit as manual handling is required
- Comfortable working with drills, screwdrivers, pliers and other battery/hand tools
- Insterest in computers and associated hardware advantageous
- Be able to follow instructiosn from the supervisor and communicate issues when they arise
- Be able to work autonomously and independently
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Great interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
