We're seeking a Group Safety Superintendent to lead and drive our safety initiatives across multiple business units. In this role, you'll manage and implement health and safety systems, ensuring that our operations adhere to the highest standards. Your focus will be on developing a proactive safety culture, overseeing compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading key safety programs. This is an opportunity to shape safety strategies, influence workplace behaviour, and ensure our sites remain safe and compliant.
Your Role in Action
- Oversee Health & Safety Systems: Manage and continuously improve the Health and Safety Management System for the Cane Products Business Unit.
- Ensure Compliance & Governance: Lead programs to maintain compliance with both internal and external safety standards.
- Lead Safety Projects: Take charge of OHS projects for our Sugar & Renewables business unit, ensuring timely and effective execution
- Manage Health & Safety Budgets: Oversee financial planning and budget management for health and safety initiatives.
- Drive Safety Culture Initiatives: Design and manage the Safety Walk and Behavioural Safety programs to foster a proactive safety culture.
Your Winning Combination
We're looking for a seasoned safety leader with a strong background in occupational health and safety. You'll need a degree (or equivalent practical experience) in a relevant OHS discipline, and at least 10 years of recent experience in a similar role, with 5 of those in senior management. Experience leading Safety Behavioural programs is a plus, along with proven skills in managing diverse teams. A solid grasp of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and related standards is essential, as is proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
