The Roles
Senior Surveyor
- Would suit an experienced surveyor with a view to progressing to survey/project management role.
- Supervision and mentoring of survey staff.
- Knowledge of relevant survey legislation and directions as they apply to Queensland.
- Ability to work and liaise with a multi-disciplinary team of in-house planners, designers and engineers.
- Flexibility to adapt and utilise modern survey techniques and JFP equipment (eg. Mobile & Terrestrial scanning, LIDAR drone, remote boat sonar) to relevant survey tasks.
- Office and field based initially.
- Perform a broad range of surveys, including:
- Cadastral surveys
- As-constructed surveys
- Engineering surveys for subdivision works
- Detail/Contour/Tree surveys
- Lease surveys
- Other survey tasks for private, local and state government projects
Field Surveyor
- Perform a broad range of surveys, including:
- Cadastral surveys
- As-constructed surveys
- Engineering surveys for subdivision works
- Details/Contour/Tree surveys
- Lease surveys
- Other survey tasks for private, local and state government projects
- Flexibility to adapt and utilise modern survey techniques and JFP equipment (eg. Mobile & Terrestrial scanning, LIDAR drone, remote boat sonar) to relevant survey tasks
- Liaise with in-house planners, designers and engineers to ensure project success.
- Split between field and office-based responsibilities, using both traditional and modern surveying equipment
What We're Looking For
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Surveyors Board of Queensland. We encourage advancement to Registered Surveyor with endorsement.
- Experience in providing a variety of surveys for diverse projects (minimum 2 years in Australia, preferably in Queensland).
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Leica TPS/GPS equipment, plus 12D or AutoCAD (preferred but not essential).
- Independence & Teamwork: Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills.
- Licensing & Eligibility: Current driver's license and right to work in Australia.
