Casual Position

The primary responsibility of Trainer/Assessors is to deliver training programs as set out by Asuria RTO and in accordance with relevant contractual and compliance requirements. This includes:

  • Deliver and assess accredited training including CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, units of competency and skill sets from within the ECEC Training Package.
  • Monitor student progress and provide support and guidance to ensure students receive the best possible learning experience. Provide onsite, face-to-face support with students to support their personal learning and completion.
  • Conduct Workplace Visits and Assessments of students within various workplace settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and report on individual student’s progression within the portfolio of accredited training
  • Identify opportunities and develop initiatives to improve training program service offerings for both accredited and non-accredited courses
  • Deliver training and assessment in a diverse range of environments including classroom, workplace, and online
  • Deliver courses in line with the requirements of the relevant Training Package and/or contractual requirements
  • Work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure delivery and assessment meets compliance and contractual requirements in consultation with National Compliance Manager
  • Work closely with Business Development staff and key stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure all courses meet customer needs.
  • Attending trainer meetings on a fortnightly basis in conjunction with Operations Manager

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience in the Vocational Education and training sector and demonstrated ability to administer efficient and innovative training.
  • Experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of Learning and Assessment strategies.
  • An understanding of the national VET sector and how it relates to the national labour market
  • Student management and Learning management systems
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (required)
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, including report writing as and when required
  • Attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively use technology in the workplace and coordinate administrative requirements.
  • Experience in the management and development of Training programs
  • Experience in face to face, online, and workplace-based delivery models
  • Experience working with SMS and LMS platforms

Successful applicants will be a part of our Talent Pool, must be available to commit to Training Blocks that run 2 days per week on a 6 consecutive week schedule, and is willing to travel to different sites.
