Our client is a leading Nationally recognised Telecommunications and Electrical company that provides installation management services to the electrical, telecommunications, and fiber industries.
They are currently seeking a Communication Technician, to work on installation and
commissioning projects in the exchange and mobile network environment for Australia's leading
telecommunications providers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Configure, install, and maintain communications networks and components.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with technical and operational standards, as well as workplace health and safety requirements.
- Maintain records and documentation, and report on equipment performance and condition.
- Willing to work and travel to regional areas including interstate.
Qualifications, skills and experience
- Must have completed a Certificate III in Telecommunications
- Broad range of experience in exchange/data centre equipment installation, commissioning, and decommissioning.
- Experience and familiarity working with exchange networks.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex designs and job scopes.
- Design experience(s) an advantage but not essential.
- Must have a strong commitment to safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
- Current drivers licence, First Aid and white card.
