About the opportunity
Council is seeking to appoint a highly motivated person to fill the role of Manager Operations.
This dynamic role will:
- provide project and contract management to ensure the successful delivery of Council’s capital and operational works programs.
- deliver Council’s services in the most effective and efficient manner possible and to meet Council’s service benchmarks.
The role is being offered as a 5-year contract, classified at Level 7 ($125,00 - $132,000) of the South Australian Salaried Officers Award and associated Enterprise Agreement with commuter use of a Council vehicle and a supplied laptop and mobile phone.
About you
To perform the role successfully, you will have:
- Technical and/or Engineering qualifications (tertiary level) or a combination of experience, expertise and competence sufficient to perform the duties of the position
- Project Management and contract management skills and qualifications
- Problem solving and negotiation skills including conflict resolution
- Knowledge and skills of Financial management and budgeting processes
- Sound engineering and civil design skills.
- Demonstrated management of projects and/or the supervision and administration of workforce including day labour and contractors
