Foodbank SA & NT is South Australia and Northern Territories largest food relief organisation. We are a not-for-profit and non-denominational community-based organisation established in SA in 2000.
Our vision is to end hunger in South Australia and the Northern Territory. Our mission is to get the most good food, to the most people, in the most efficient way possible.
Foodbank SA & NT has 13 Food Hubs and 7 warehouses and provides food relief to over 150,000 people every month. One third of these are children. We source food from wholesalers, manufacturers, supermarkets and growers, saving more than 2.5 million kilograms of food from landfill each year. In the last 12 months, we have sourced enough food to put more than 10 million meals on the table of those doing it tough in our community.
About the Role
Foodbank SA & NT is seeking a suitably experienced and enthusiastic Warehouse & Storeperson. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly team of staff and volunteers, where you will have the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives.
In this role, the Warehouse Storeperson will
- Receive, check and record stock upon arrival
- Sort and store produce in correct locations
- Pick and pack orders in preparation for dispatch
- Assist with collection of donations and delivery of orders, when required
- Ensure warehouse and inventory documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner
- On an ad hoc basis and when requested, drive to sites across metropolitan Adelaide to collect and deliver donations and orders.
About You
As the successful applicant, you will enjoy working within a diverse and friendly team, have a proactive approach and have experience working in a warehouse.
A National Police Clearance, heavy vehicle (MR or HR) licence and forklift licence are essential.
