Description:
Cherry Computers is looking for two new Phone, Laptop & Gaming Computer Technicians to join our team at our store in Brighton.
The two positions available are as follows:
- 1x Full-Time Position Computer Technician
- 1x Casual Position Computer Technician. This technician will need to be available for weekend work, primarily.
As a Phone, Laptop & Gaming Computer Technician you will handle all areas of a clients’ experience, from taking their first phone call enquiry to the final book-out of their repair. You will perform a wide variety of both software and hardware repairs on PCs and Macs, and repair software issues on iOS and Android devices. You will also handle the sale of various accessories, peripherals, and new computers; where you will quote on the specifications to best suit a clients’ needs, including building their new computer towers/desktops yourself.
Your strong interest in technology will drive you to learn and develop your skills in an ever changing and evolving industry; to provide our clients with effective and efficient solutions to a wide variety of IT issues that they may face.
Job requirements:
- Good communication skills when liaising with clients and our partners by email, phone and in person, and the ability to explain things in ‘plain English’ to our clients,
- Able to effectively document your repairs,
- An attention to detail,
- Good time management - you will be expected to work on a number of repairs simultaneously both supervised and unsupervised,
- Enthusiastic, with a desire to learn and grow your knowledge and skills.
As a CPhone, Laptop & Gaming Computer Technician you will be expected to have experience with:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and/or be capable of demonstrating your ability on a job trial – the ability to perform various repairs independently is a must,
- Assist customers with technical support remotely, over the phone, and in person,
- Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair both software and hardware issues, including the disassembly of PC and Mac computers,
- Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of software issues on iOS and Android devices,
- Both quote on the specification of, and build new computers (desktops/towers, barebones PCs (i.e., Intel NUC)),
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Exchange, cloud services and networking would be an added advantage.
- Must be able to work weekends .
