As Our Facilities Officer You Will
- Foster a culture that values individual and team performance and strives for continuous improvement and efficiencies in meeting the objectives of the National Fire Ant Eradication Program.
- Supervise and support a team responsible for managing the National Fire Ant Eradication Program's (the Program) facilities to ensure delivery of an effective and safe work environment.
- Contribute role specific knowledge and provide associated advice to the Program to facilitate effective delivery of on-going services, projects, and strategies in relation to management of facilities.
- Assist the Senior Facilities Officer with ongoing business improvement to achieve maximum return on investment for resource expenditure (e.g. manage budget set for facilities leasing, managing relocation and maintenance of delivery of goods and vehicles) build and share internal and external networks and work cooperatively across boundaries to achieve effective outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with Procurement to ensure timely preparation and input on all procurement activities, including contract variations and extensions where relevant.
- Assist the Senior Facilities Officer in the Management of resources (staff, budgets, assets and infrastructure) to meet key performance targets while continually enhancing facility operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Advise and support Senior Facilities Officer in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of facilities, fleet management and asset strategies for the Program (e.g. depot sites, security access).
- Contribute to the development, implementation and review of best practice strategies, policy, systems and processes, ensuring compliance with strategic objectives and legislative requirements.
- Consult, liaise, negotiate and maintain positive and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure services, solutions and governance is maintained.
- Be flexible and able to work amongst a fast paced and diverse team environment, with interchangeable skillsets.
