ABOUT GEMCO
Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 20% of the world's manganese ore production. Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on a 7:7 roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns. Residential option to live on Groote Eylandt considered.
As the Superintendent Ancillary Services , you will be responsible for leading and directing the Dozer and Ancillary operations teams, ensuring safe, cost-effective production while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
- Manage team performance, coach leaders & foster a strong safety culture
- Oversee dozer stripping, drill & blast execution, and mine dewatering
- Drive efficiency improvements & optimise production processes
- Build relationships with internal teams & external contractors
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably with exposure to dewatering
- Leading operational teams to deliver production & safety targets
- Applying risk management, compliance & continuous improvement strategies
- Driving efficiency & cost reduction through resource optimisation
- Effective stakeholder engagement & cross-functional collaboration
Qualifications for this position are:
- Tertiary qualifications in a mining related discipline would be advantageous
