Vysarn Limited and its subsidiaries are a vertically integrated whole of life water and environmental services provider. Due to consistent growth and opportunity Vysarn has grown to eight operating entities across Australia.
Pentium Hydro and Pentium Test Pumping operate throughout Western Australia, primarily in the North-West. We are seeking expressions of interest for experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Fitters / Drill Fitters to support these operations and other businesses of Vysarn, as required.
About the role
- Responsible for the planned and preventative maintenance of all Vysarn plant and equipment.
- Attending on-site breakdowns and providing support to our Operational personnel.
- Minor and major repairs to Schramm T-130 and Foremost drill rigs.
- Operate plant efficiently, diagnose faults on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and air systems.
- Complete services and repairs without supervision.
- Maintain compliance with all procedures and manufacturer’s instructions relating to the service and repair of plant and equipment.
- Undertake pre-starts, risk assessments and asset inspections.
- Provide technical guidance & field service support to Operational personnel.
- Regularly communicate with the Maintenance team regarding timelines for repairs and service of plant and equipment.
- Provide maintenance support, advice and assistance to other stakeholders as required to ensure all maintenance requirements have been met on schedule.
- Update and close work orders as jobs are completed and prepare and/or order parts, where required.
About you, your skills and experience
- Strong focus on safety and fostering a zero-harm culture for all stakeholders.
- You’re not afraid to get in and get the job done – you lead by example.
- Experience on drill rigs, large trucks, motors, generators, air compressors and pumps.
- Experience in mining, agriculture, exploration, or heavy industries, is preferred.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment and ongoing medical including alcohol and drug testing.
- Have the unrestricted right to work in Australia.
- HR driver’s license.
- Able to work FIFO and DIDO contracts.
- Hold an appropriate Australian recognised trade certificate.
- National Police Clearance (less than 1 month old)

We are offering full-time shift worker positions, with a flexible roster depending on your personal needs. The pay rates are the same for each roster but the 2:1 option works greater hours than the 2:2 option, therefore, paying more!
