The Labourer positions perform a broad range of tasks in a construction and/or maintenance team within the Toowoomba Region. The position works as part of a multi-skilled team to complete program objectives for the maintenance and construction of Council’s infrastructure networks.- There are two permanent full-time positions. One is based at the Crows Nest Depot and the other based at the Goombungee Depot.
- The base salary for this position is $30.37 per hour, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
- In addition to the base wage rate, variable allowances are available (for example - on call, overtime, asbestos allowance, wet weather).

The Construction & Maintenance North (CMN) Branch plays a crucial role in driving capital and operational works projects and across a predominantly rural road and stormwater infrastructure network.

How to be successful in these positions:
Qualification(s), training and/or experience, specific to the position:
- Year 10 education and a combination of extensive experience, qualification and competence, or a combination of extensive experience, qualification and competence which enables the incumbent to perform all duties of the position.
- Current unrestricted ‘C’ Class Manual Driver’s Licence.
- WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- Working in Proximity to Traffic Awareness Part 1 and 2, or a willingness to obtain within 3 months of commencement.
