We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for the role of Reliability Engineer/Specialist in the Reliability Engineering: SCP team. Reporting to the Reliability Engineering Lead, this role suits an individual who is highly proactive with proven technical skills, strong problem-solving skills and has the ability to work autonomously.
Your responsibilities will include:
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development
- Executes defect elimination rhythms and routines, ensuring triggered events are reviewed, investigated, actions implemented and monitored for effectiveness.
- Analysing equipment failure trends and recommending replacement of communications equipment and / or components
- Develops scope and justification for Reliability improvement projects and initiates them.
- Provides input and reviews maintenance budgets.
- Guides, checks to verify adherence to local operating/work procedures, audit and Our Requirements obligations.
- Investigates reported events which meet the Business/Asset-defined risk threshold.
- Provides technical expertise to the Execution sub-function to support work quality and safe execution of maintenance work.
- Analyses life of plant, equipment, and infrastructure to determine equipment capability assumptions based on the 2-year Production plan in order to provide input into the development of the capital budget for the operation / area of accountability.
- Monitor asset performance and strategy effectiveness and making proactive strategy changes to improve asset reliability and availability.
Skills and Experience:
- Hold a minimum of a degree or trade qualifications in one of the following disciplines:
- Mechanical,
- Electrical,
- Mechatronics
- Telecommunications
- Rail Signalling
- Current/valid driver’s licence
- Proven commitment to safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on the customer
- Ability to engage, communicate and collaborate with other work groups.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and proactively solving them
- Ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively.
- A willingness to learn:
- SAP Work Management & Inventory Supply Chain processes
- Reliability Centred Maintenance approaches
