The Senior Manager of the Safety Management System at VicGrid will oversee the development and implementation of the company's health and safety systems and risk mitigation practices. This role involves leading workplace safety innovations, progressing ideas from concept to execution, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive change and gain support for safety initiatives across VicGrid.

What you will deliver

  • Promote workplace health and safety innovation across VicGrid, from idea conception, research development and delivery.
  • Implementation of VicGrid health and safety initiatives and programs of work, including VicGrid Safety Strategy and Business Plan.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and management of an innovative safety management system.
  • Develop the risk register for safety by identifying risks and arranging/coordinating mitigation in a timely manner.

What you will bring

  • Diploma or higher in Work Health and Safety field
  • Proven experience in the development, implementation, and management of Health and Safety Management Systems, policies, procedures, and reporting systems.
  • Developed understanding and working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and other associated legislative requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in techniques such as case analysis, data and process flow diagramming, process mapping and detailed business and functional requirements documentation.
