CPA are actively recruiting for multiple Disability Support Workers for two of our houses in Wallsend!
We are seeking applications from both those with proven experience working in Disability Support, AND to those who are newer to to the industry. What is crucial is the right motivations and a genuine commitment to providing excellent care to clients.
These roles will be based in Wallsend and will be permanent part-time - we are open to different contract lengths dependent on availability.
Your duties will include:
- Delivering personalised support by assisting clients at mealtimes, personal care, administrating medication, manual handling.
- Supporting clients to make their own choices and build skills to be more independent.
- Supporting clients to engage and participate in the community.
- Building positive relationships with our clients.
- Transporting clients in your own car
- Professional Behaviour Support experience or lived experience preferred, however your can-do attitude is key!
- Someone who embodies CPA values, is client-focused in their approach to care, and driven by the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of people with disabilities.
- Our SIL houses operate on a 24/7 roster, and as such, you must be available to work a variety of shift times, including:
- Early mornings (6am-9am)
- Day shifts (9am-4pm)
- Afternoons and evenings (12pm - 10pm)
- and/or awake overnights (10pm - 6am)
- A current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 minimum)
