Description

The role:

Applications are invited for appropriately qualified teachers with a track record of success in Diverse Learning 7-12. This is a permanent full-time role commencing in Term 2.

As a key contributor within the wider P-12 Learning Enrichment faculty, this position provides direct and timely specialist assistance to students in regular classes who have additional support needs, thereby promoting a culture of inclusivity where everyone has the opportunity to achieve their potential. Key tasks include:

  • Managing a case load of students.
  • Developing and implementing Individualised Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Providing in-class support.
  • Liaising with parents, external stakeholders, and fellow teaching and pastoral staff.
  • Meeting relevant regulatory, reporting, and administrative requirements as related to each student.

Skills And Experiences

The ideal candidate:

  • NESA-qualified to teach in NSW.
  • At least 2 years' direct experience in secondary Learning Support.
  • Post-graduate qualifications a plus (but extensive equivalent experience will be viewed equally favourably).
  • A passionate advocate for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Open-minded and forward-thinking in pedagogical and pastoral practice.
  • A confident and communicative team player who makes a positive contribution to the life and culture of Kambala.
