Job Description

About the Opportunity:

We are excited to announce that Acciona has been awarded a major wharf infrastructure project at Port Hedland for Pilbara Ports Authority. This marks the first stage in the development of the Lumsden Point General Cargo Facility and Logistics Hub (LCGF), a transformative multi-user facility designed to:

  • Enable the export of critical minerals.
  • Support the import of renewable energy infrastructure.
  • Facilitate the import/export of general cargo.
  • Accommodate the import of bulk liquids such as fuel and chemicals.

To help us deliver this project, we are looking for a Safety and Training Administrator to support a small team of Safety Professionals. The successful candidate will be required to work in Port Hedland on a FIFO basis on a two week on, one week off roster. We would also like to hear from Port Hedland local’s residents who would like to be involved in this major development for the Port.

Key accountabilities for the position:

  • Support the Safety Team in the management of safety systems, risk registers, reporting, audits, data gathering, etc.
  • Provide administration support for safety training in line with the project training plan.
  • Assist with the reviewing of Permit to Work applications and Return to Work activities
  • Provide administrative support with the development of policies, procedures, standards, toolbox talks
  • Provide administrative support to the site safety committee and attend site safety meetings

  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Effective organisational, prioritisation & time management skills within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills that enable the individual to communication in a positive, friendly and professional manner with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail & Accountability for your role
