Senior Natural Catastrophe Consultant

A new role has been created for a Senior Natural Catastrophe Risk Consultant to lead the expansion of our natural catastrophe advisory practice. This includes exposure analysis, loss modeling, and risk mitigation advisory services, as well as supporting the development of climate and sustainability-related initiatives. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with outstanding analytical and interpersonal skills, and a strong commercial and customer focus.

We will count on you to:
- Lead projects from conception to completion, engaging with clients, prospects, and colleagues.
- Deliver complex natural peril analytics projects through research, data capture, analysis, modeling, and reporting.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team while mentoring junior colleagues.
- Enhance clients' resilience to natural perils and climate change by providing insights and skills for assessment, quantification, and mitigation.
- Develop innovative and sustainable approaches to natural hazard risk consulting projects for existing and prospective clients.
What you need to have:
- Tertiary education in Engineering or financial modeling/analytics.
- Working knowledge of tools to assess natural perils and quantify associated risks (acute and chronic).
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, including advanced MS Excel proficiency.
- Risk management consulting experience.
- Ability to process raw data into digestible formats, including the use of GIS software.
What makes you stand out:
- Experience in ESG consulting.
- Knowledge of TCFD and associated risk analyses.
- Familiarity with the insurance industry.
