Description:

Provides specialist technical support and guidance to internal and external customers through an in-depth knowledge of local raw material performance, product portfolio and supply chain and site processes.
Liase closely with Technical Excellence Centre to ensure products meet Australian Standards, government authority requirements and customer project specifications. Assist customers and sales teams in appropriate product selection to meet project requirements.

Develop and refine your technical skills in your new role as a Materials Solutions Specialist – Aggregates based at our Perth Metro Operations. Reporting to the Regional Technical Manager, this role will provide technical support and guidance to both our internal and external customers through your in-depth knowledge of local raw material performance, product portfolio and supply chain & site processes.

In your new role, you will :

  • Provide a high level of competent technical services to support internal and external customers by assessing customer requirements and developing practical solutions.
  • Assist other technical staff, sales and production staff in all technical and quality issues within area of responsibility
  • Solve complex problems and develop practical solutions and address product performance concerns within agreed time constraints
  • Drive technical improvements to business products and processes as well as customer outcomes
  • Monitor raw material and finished product performance
  • Work with supply chain teams to ensure production controls and standards are being implemented consistently and identify where improvement opportunities exist

About you:

  • A university degree in Civil engineering or Materials science with 1 to 5 years of experience.
  • You have a successful track record in a technical field with high attention to detail and outstanding communication and engagement skills
  • You have a positive and influential presence in building strong and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • You have a passion for delivering remarkable customer service and great results
