Purpose
The Building Supervisor supports the Building Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the property is maintained to the highest standards while providing a safe, efficient, and well-presented environment for all occupants and visitors.
This full-time role offers a base salary of $70,000 – $75,000 plus superannuation, along with access to Accor Hotels' global staff benefits
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of building condition, ensuring regular inspections of gardens, grounds, and common areas, and reporting any issues promptly for resolution
- Support the Building Manager by attending to property audits, updating registers, preparing reports, and liaising with contractors to ensure smooth operations and compliance with safety, security, and property procedures
- Ensure all team members are trained in fire, emergency, and security procedures, and maintain up-to-date documentation for property compliance, including contractor logs, maintenance registers, and the building register
- Manage car park operations, including maintaining the daily visitor log and monitoring access to ensure efficient and secure use of the facility
- Oversee the receipt, sorting, and delivery of mail and parcels, ensuring strict adherence to privacy and security standards
- Handle all key-related tasks, including managing keys for residents, contractors, and managing agents, maintaining a secure key log, and ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Address resident, guest, or owner complaints promptly and courteously, ensuring resolution and maintaining high customer satisfaction
- Foster strong, professional relationships with unit owners and residents by providing exceptional service and maintaining open communication channels
- Ensure seamless shift transitions by providing clear and accurate handovers, outlining any ongoing or upcoming requirements for the next shift
Skills and Experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and familiarity with its applications for daily operations
- Previous experience in a strata-based environment is desirable, with a solid understanding of related processes
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and environments, demonstrating diplomacy and effective problem-solving
- Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, and inspiring teams to drive performance and development
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to multitask and handle competing priorities efficiently
