About the role
The Mater Mothers Hospital Birthing Services team are seeking expressions of interest for a Clinical Midwifery Consultant for multiple leave coverage opportunities.
Salary range: $66.85 - $72.58 (RN3) per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
The Clinical Nurse/Midwifery Consultant (CMC) is a Registered Nurse/Midwife who provides expert clinical consultancy, takes a lead role in the promotion of contemporary Nursing/Midwifery practice, is actively involved in research, education and continuous quality improvement and facilitates the development of Nursing/Midwifery services across the continuum of care.
The Mater Mothers’ Hospital (MMH) Birthing Services is a tertiary level service providing family centred care to both private and public women with either uncomplicated or complicated pregnancies. The service is inclusive of a 15 bed Birth Suite and a 13 bed Pregnancy Assessment Centre (PAC) & Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU) and Perioperative Midwifery Service.
About you
The successful applicant should possess:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife, or Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (no restrictions)
- Midwifery experience at a senior/clinical midwife level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide and promote evidenced based maternity care
- An ability to work autonomously and function as a member of a diverse health service delivery team
