Your new role
We have an opportunity for two individuals to join our Review team as Senior Review Officers on a full-time ongoing basis. Reporting to the Manager - Reviews the role will provide expert advice on review matters and manage highly complex and escalated reviews of external investigations from a diverse range of areas, including government, private, public and community sectors.
Duties include:
* Review formal correspondence with recommendations for action and write high-level reports and present findings to operational governance committee, other Government agencies, and key internal stakeholders to achieve objectives with mutually beneficial outcomes.
* Provide leadership in complex concepts and interpret information to make impartial judgements and credible decisions that influence policy, processes or procedures aligned to team and IBAC objectives.
* Conduct independent review and/or evaluation including comprehending legislation and critical analysis of complex information.
* Manage highly complex and escalated reviews and conduct audits of outstanding review matters and update frequency of activity in case management system to better inform future recommendations.

Our requirements / Your skill set
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
* Relevant experience in independent and/or internal reviews and a strong understanding on how to apply relevant legislation and policy is essential.
* Experience working for a government agency or law and/or investigations, particularly in high-volume and dynamic environments with discretion, sensitivity, and resilience is highly desirable.
* Qualifications in government, policy or law or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
Due to the requirement to attain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
