What we are looking for:
Due to internal movements, we’re looking for a senior team member to join our Maryborough based team, looking after our coastal run. You’ll be responsible for supporting both the team leader and supervisor in implementing both day to day and programmed maintenance.
What your day will look like:
- Undertaking maintenance works in a variety of open space and coastal spaces, including some remote areas
- Operating a variety of plant and fleet in a safe and effective manner
- Completing relevant paperwork and keeping records up to date including risk assessments, inspection records, and pre start checks
- Coordinating appropriate resources including plant and staff
- Coaching and mentoring team members

What you’ll need for success:
You’ll have experience in a similar horticultural based position and will be comfortable stepping into a senior role within the team. Strong communication skills with the ability to relate well to both your team, and members of the public that you may come into contact with, will set you up for success.
You’ll have:
- Experience in park maintenance and knowledge of maintenance methods
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- A willingness to mentor and guide team members
- Experience working in remote areas
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- MR licence, or the ability to obtain
