We are seeking a suitably experienced senior leader for the position of Executive Director, Enterprise Services .This position will be a 3-year fixed-term duration (Executive contract). Hybrid working options are available however it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at our Doncaster headquarters and across the state.

About The Role

A key member of the Executive and collaborating closely with the Chief Executive, this position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a number of enabling enterprise-wide services and fulfilling Chief Financial Officer accountabilities. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Provide strategic guidance and expertise to shape AV's strategic plan and objectives, influencing both divisional and organisation wide performance
  • Ensure a strategic, coordinated, and professional approach to maintaining positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, to enable the delivery of shared outcomes across the organisation and sector
  • Be accountable for developing and managing capital and operating budgets, optimising resources, and ensuring financial sustainability, while pro-actively identifying and mitigating risks to enhance organisational resilience
  • Develop strategies and frameworks to enhance commercial, contract management, logistics, legal and procurement capabilities across the organisation, fostering best practices, efficiency, and compliance to support organisational objectives and mitigate risks
  • Provide regular updates, reports, and briefings to senior management, Board of Directors, government agencies and other relevant stakeholders on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities
  • Positioning AV in the health and emergency service systems as experts in patient-focussed emergency/pre-hospital healthcare to the Victorian community
  • Providing open and effective leadership to build a high-performance, collaborative culture that fosters continuous improvement and professional development
  • Modelling of ethical and positive behaviours consistent with the AV values and driving cultural transformation for a safe, fair, and inclusive workplace

The Executive Director, Enterprise Services, shall serve as the executive leader of the Finance sub-committee of the Board, as well as any other related committees established and/or replaced from time to time.

About You

Suited to highly motivated and strategic senior leader, the successful applicant will possess but not limited to:

  • Tertiary or post graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline to understand and perform technical and/or clinical aspects of the role together with demonstrated Chief Financial Officer or senior financial experience
  • Membership of a professional accounting body (CPA or Chartered Accountant)
  • Strong business and commercial acumen with demonstrated experience in financial management, budgetary planning, and performance measurement techniques, including the ability to provide strategic advice to executive forums (i.e. Boards)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of emerging digital tools and innovative approaches, coupled with a commitment to implement best practices to foster a future-focused and innovative organisational culture
  • Proven ability to drive and implement strategic cultural, organisational, and transformational change that has improved outcomes, team performance and strategic success in a large and complex organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams through the establishment of a safe and inclusive culture and fostering a continuous improvement and learning mindset
  • Proven ability to develop long-standing and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to collaboratively deliver projects, programs of work and strategic outcomes
