Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Occupational Therapists to join our team.
About Northern Health:
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our five main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Grade 2 or 3 Occupational Therapist to join our team at Northern Health. This full time, fixed term role is based with our Hospital Admission Risk Program (HARP) service at Bundoora Centre and requires a therapist with experience in community or subacute settings who is passionate about providing person-centred care.
Working with the multidisciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist will assist clients with chronic diseases and complex care needs to optimise their health outcomes and to reduce preventable use of emergency departments and inpatient services.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Fully registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Eligible for membership with OT Australia
- Current Australian Driver’s License
- Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check VIC
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrated experience or willingness to learn about chronic health conditions
- A good working knowledge of community services
- Commitment to lifelong learning
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
