Mas National & IntoJobs have a new opportunity for an office based Employment Consultant to join their team in Pakenham VIC. We are looking for passionate individuals who are keen to make a real difference to the lives of people, while giving back to their local community.
About the Role:
Our Employment Consultants provide one-on-one support to a caseload of job seekers to assist them in achieving sustainable and fulfilling employment.
You will be responsible for delivering high quality, individually tailored services and support, with the aim of placing people into sustainable employment with local employers. You will mentor your clients, engage with your local community, liaise with employers & develop job opportunities for your clients.
Employment Consultants will work primarily office based with the opportunity to go into the field from time to time visiting employers and jobseekers. Our caseload sizes enable you to spend the time to understand your clients' needs and match them to the right employer.
This is a full time role based in Pakenham VIC Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm.
About you
You will bring:

  • A background in Employment Services, relevant industry experience/ tertiary qualifications (highly advantageous)
  • Knowledge of WFA & Job Ready highly regarded
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience within the Employment Services, Training, Rehabilitation, or Community Services or a similar type sector is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and build rapport with jobseekers and employers
  • Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with a diverse range of people from different socio-economic backgrounds
  • Demonstrated recruitment expertise within B2B sales environments, driven to succeed in identifying opportunities and converting into placements
  • Strong problem solving skills and initiative - able to find solutions and understands the key contract levers that are important in getting people into jobs.
  • Drive to achieve targets & results
  • Strong organisation & administration skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office or similar software and experience using databases
  • A current drivers licence
