About the opportunity:
We are seeking multiple Enrolled Nurses for our team in Yagoona. Casual positions and varied shifts are available. The rate is from $44.53/hr + superannuation + salary packaging.
*Pay rates are determined by the total number of hours worked as an enrolled nurse. *
Role Requirements:
- Manual Handling and Hoist Experience -customers require assistance due to mobility deterioration.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by the physician and ensure proper documentation of medication records.
- Can follow and implement strict routines.
- Experience in high support needs - PEG feeding, epilepsy and acquired brain injury.
- Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, weekends, is a must.
- Great communication skills
Typical duties might include:
- Supporting customers to develop and maintain independence.
- Supporting customers with personal care, including bowel care, manual handling using various equipment and aids and other health and hygiene needs such as feeding, medication, dressing, toileting and showering.
- Undertaking various household tasks, including mealtime management and liaising with GPs, care coordinators, RNs and allied health
- Attend to medical emergencies and provide first aid as required.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (the Board).
- Diploma of Nursing or equivalent tertiary qualifications.
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- Valid working rights
- A current Driver's Licence and confidence to drive an accessible van.
- NSW Working with Children Check NSW & Blue Card QLD
- NDIS Worker Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
