NXT GIG is looking for an experienced Datastage Developer to join our data integration team. Responsibilities
- Design and implement ETL jobs using IBM DataStage to support data processing needs.
- Extract data from various sources, transform it as per business requirements, and load it into target systems.
- Optimize DataStage jobs for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with data analysts and architects to gather requirements and define ETL processes.
- Monitor ETL jobs and troubleshoot any issues to ensure data quality and process integrity.
- Document ETL workflows and technical specifications for clarity and future reference.
- Stay informed about new features and best practices in DataStage and data integration technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Datastage Developer with strong knowledge of DataStage toolset.
- In-depth understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and database concepts.
- Experience in writing SQL queries and proficiency with relational databases (e.g., DB2, Oracle).
- Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
