The Kent Hotel, part of the Seabreeze Hotels group, is seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a landmark venue known for exceptional dining and hospitality, we are looking for a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and is committed to delivering high-quality cuisine.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute a diverse menu with a focus on quality, consistency, and presentation
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Assist in menu development, bringing creativity and seasonal influences to dishes
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness
- Manage stock levels, food preparation, and wastage control
- Adhere to workplace safety regulations and best practices
- Proven experience as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant, bistro, or hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of contemporary Australian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive and team-oriented approach with strong communication skills
- Availability to work a flexible roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Relevant Food Safety and Hygiene certifications
