What’s involved?
With a few years BD experience under your belt, you will be joining a wider national Business Development & Marketing team of over 70 professionals, and part of an already existing, high performing, client centric BD team. Reporting to a Senior Client Relationship Manager, you will be providing BD support to our national Real Estate, Construction and Environment (RECE), Planning and Native Title Practice Group, who offer market leading expertise across major projects (including infrastructure, energy and resources), real estate, construction and environment, planning and native title.
With a primary focus on supporting real estate and construction, this is an incredibly exciting and interesting sector to work in and we want BD professionals who have a passion for this space and enjoy working to high standards with Partners who will see you as a trusted Advisor.
Key responsibilities will see you:
- Preparing high quality documents and materials, including client driven collateral, tenders and proposals, capability statements, directories and awards submissions, as well as supporting key events and conferences
- Supporting key clients with account management and relationship development activities including account planning, opportunity identification, relationship mapping, reporting, maintaining client data and research
- Working with BD colleagues to develop and execute the client and business development strategies and priorities for the Real Estate practice and relevant strategic or key clients.
- Supporting the BD team to implement plans and initiatives across sectors and geographic markets
- Identifying client feedback opportunities for the sector and centre and executing a plan to ensure key client and matter coverage
- Collaborating with practice groups and centres on go-to-market strategy, including Thought Leadership Campaigns
- Supporting the senior team members and Managing Partners/Sector Leaders to actively manage and monitor team BD budgets
- Working with the BD team to coordinate successful client engagement, sponsorships, industry partnerships and conferences.
Who are we looking for?
This is a hands-on role needing excellent stakeholder and project management skills, and an ability to influence and engage across all levels. You will have a natural curiosity that will see you ask the right questions and keep across market developments to assist in identifying business development opportunities.
You will also bring:
- 3+ years of experience in a business development or professional services role.
- Ability to develop enduring and trusted relationships with internal and external clients.
- Ability to juggle numerous projects in a fast-paced environment working well under pressure and to tight timetables.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business or Commerce
- Ability to think analytically and conduct research on business trends, market, client and competitor intelligence.
