As a Sales Consultant you will be responsible for calling our Restaurant partners to sell our Promoted Ad Placement product while building quality long term relationships to support them with the growth of their business.

All about the role:


The purpose of this role is to help our Restaurant partners grow their orders and consumer base through purchasing our Promoted Placement product. This product is Menulog’s advertisement tool and provides restaurants added visibility. Charges are based on performance as it is a Cost per Click model ensuring each sale is different resulting in a dynamic sales experience.


In this role, we're counting on you to:

  • Conduct a high volume of outbound phone calls, speaking with Restaurant partners with the aim of selling our Promoted Ad Placement product
  • Grow revenue in your assigned portfolio by working closely with our account management teams to add Promoted Placement as a lever, pitching the product and closing the sale, ensuring that sales targets are achieved
  • Take full ownership of an estate to ensure growth in Restaurant partners and slots sold
  • Support Restaurant partners by discussing optimisation of their menus: pictures, pricing and marketing offers with the aim of increasing their orders
  • Identify growth areas where click share can be further enhanced by focusing on key suburbs and Restaurants, accurate sales and only to Restaurants who pass eligibility
  • Ensure Restaurants are satisfied with the product performance by analysing data and having regular follow up interactions, ensuring they understand their return on investment while also identifying any cross selling opportunities
  • Be an ambassador of Promoted Placement within the company, connecting with other areas of the business both nationally and internationally, to ensure cross-functional alignment around the product value proposition and the way it is marketed
  • Prepare and present sales reports as required
  • Monitor and reporting on competitor activity

Can you deliver…

  • Here is what we need from you:
  • Proven experience in sales with a track record of success within a phone-based and/or face to face sales role, ideally in e-commerce or similar
  • Account management experience with a focus on building quality long term relationships would be preferable
  • An understanding of how an ecommerce platform can benefit individual small businesses and the ability to sell the benefits of ecommerce to a small business that has little or no digital presence
  • Ability to sell and present ideas in a compelling way, adjusting your style to a wide variety of audiences
  • Great communication skills, you are able to pitch over the phone, generate trust and build rapport with Restaurant owners and are capable of dealing with a challenging conversation
  • Analytical mindset, you are comfortable navigating through data and you are capable of extracting insights to help you make good decisions
  • Previous experience using a CRM system such as salesforce
  • A positive and proactive attitude, target driven and capable of delivering under pressure
  • Team player, you know what a good team dynamic looks like and you enjoy being a part of a successful team
  • Capable of coping with change and innovation, understands the power of technology in making processes more efficient
  • A ‘get the job done at all costs’ attitude
