The Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking a skilled and visionary Director of Mental Health Nursing to join our Mental Health Executive team. This key leadership role will work closely with the Mental Health Core Executive and Nursing Leaders to ensure the highest standards of clinical governance, professional practice, and workforce development across the CCLHD Mental Health Service.
You will be responsible for driving the integration of contemporary care models, fostering a culture of professional excellence, and leading initiatives that support the ongoing development and education of the mental health nursing workforce. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the future direction of mental health services and contribute to a transformative approach to mental health care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that nursing services comply with regulatory requirements and professional standards, maintaining a focus on innovation and continuous improvementEnsure the establishment and maintenance of robust clinical governance frameworks, enhancing the safety, effectiveness, and professionalism of nursing practicesLead and drive the professional development of nursing staff, ensuring ongoing education, training, and research are aligned with industry standards and organisational goalChampion a culture of leadership, collaboration, and support, underpinned by the CORE values of CCLHDOversee the development and implementation of workforce strategies and plans that address current and future nursing workforce needs within the mental health serviceLead the resolution of industrial and workforce-related issues while fostering a positive and productive working environment

About You
