As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and passionate CrossFit Coach to join our team.

With our Kids/Teens program rapidly expanding, this role goes beyond coaching adult classes—it’s an opportunity to lead and grow a thriving program to its full potential.

This is a highly customer-facing position, working closely with key stakeholders, including kids and teens in the program, their parents, prospective members, and external groups such as schools and sporting teams.

The CrossFit Coach / Teen Program Coordinator will also play a crucial role in the administrative operations of the program to ensure its success. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Member retention activities
  • Responding to emails and calls
  • Designing and scheduling class programming
  • Contacting parents to arrange onboarding sessions
  • Leading sales meetings
  • Publishing marketing content provided by the marketing officer

While this role involves a variety of tasks, it is highly autonomous—requiring strong time management and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively to meet the dynamic needs of the business.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Highly proficient understanding of the fundamentals of CrossFit principles and practices including programming, nutrition and movement standards.
  • Ability to lead a group exercise class – set up, flow, people management, safety considerations, high presences and attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to develop good rapport with all members.
  • Excellent presentation and listening skills, demonstrating a professional demeanour and appearance.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both verbally and in writing without typographical error.
  • Ability to take initiative to minimise risks within the workplace.
  • Strong organisational, planning and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent stress management skills and ability to cope within a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Highly developed time management skills.
  • Excellent ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education, Experience and Certifications

Essential:

  • Level 2 CrossFit Certification (or willing to obtain).
  • Minimum 1 year of coaching experience in a licensed CrossFit affiliate
  • Previous experience working with Teens aged 8-14years old in a sports / strength & conditioning setting.
  • Working with Children’s check clearance.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Availability for afternoon shifts & some weekends when needed

Desirable:

  • CrossFit Kids Credential
  • Certificate IV in Fitness or equivalent.
  • Specialisations in Coaching – Youth, Gymnastics, Weightlifting, Nutrition.

PERKS OF THE ROLE

Work Hours

  • Your typical workday starts at 1:30 PM with administrative tasks before transitioning into coaching from 3:30 PM to 8:15 PM—leaving your mornings completely free. Unlike many roles in the fitness industry, there are no split shifts.
  • Expected hours: Approximately 24–27 hours per week of face-to-face coaching and 11–14 hours of administrative work, depending on business needs.

REMUNERATION

  • Full-Time: $60,000 pa + Super
  • 6 Month Probation period
