Based in South Nowra, V&C Foods is the leading independent foodservice provider and meat wholesaler servicing the South Coast between Wollongong and Batemans Bay. We pride ourselves on our service excellence coupled with local knowledge. V&C Foods also serves the public directly with meat and food service products via our on-site store.
Our growing business is seeking passionate individuals to join our Meat Department on the evening shift (4pm to midnight) as a Butcher's Assistant.
As part of the team, your tasks will involve, but not be limited to:
- preparing, assembling, packaging and labelling meat orders for wholesale customers and our retail store
- ensuring all picking and packing paperwork is completed correctly
- receiving, putting away and rotating stock
- cleaning and room wash down
- assisting with stock ordering and logistics
- stocktaking and general warehouse duties (cleaning, etc)
- practicing safe and correct manual handling procedures
The successful applicant will:
- be physically fit with the ability to operate within safety guidelines
- have a high attention to detail and good communication skills
- be highly motivated and flexible with a can-do attitude
- be punctual, reliable and able to work afternoon shifts.
