About the Position:
Darling Dental is searching for an experienced part-time Dental Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. Our state-of-the-art, 8-chair practice is dedicated to delivering top-notch, patient-centered care. We pride ourselves on creating a positive, patient-focused environment where high-quality treatment is the norm.
This is a part time position working a 9 day fortnight with no weekend work.
As a Dental Assistant, you'll work under the supervision of the practice manager and collaborate closely with our dental team. This role offers numerous opportunities for professional growth and skill enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

What do you need to succeed:
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential
- A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
- Attention to detail
