We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at our Guyra Facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our elderly residents in a compassionate, efficient, and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious meals for our residents, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including storage and handling of food, utensils, and equipment.
- Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with other staff members.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary.
- Assist with seasonal menu planning.
About you:
You will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role. While previous experience working in a Healthcare setting is desirable, it is not a strict requirement for this role.
Essential:
- Proven experience as a in a similar environment.
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.
- 2 Recent Managerial Referees
- Police Clearance – we run one for you for free!
- Compassionate and patient with a positive attitude
