The Role
Our well-known client based in Wellington is seeking an experienced MR Driver for a multi drop hand unload position.
Working closely with the Terminal/ Distribution Manager, you'll be responsible for effective and safe multi-drop delivery runs of products to Domestic, Commercial, Industrial and Agricultural customers. With a focus on safety and WH&S compliance, you will ensure that you are meeting the needs of our customers across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and/or unloading LPG cylinder trucks, both within and outside of the LPG Bulk Terminal.
- Filling cylinders onsite and loading the vehicles.
- Ensuring that deliveries are made in an accurate and timely manner as per the daily scheduled requirements.
- Active participation in safety activities including HSE meetings, observations, emergency response, incident reporting and audits.
- Reporting any customer Site Installation Defects or Hazards in the required format.
- Repetitive manual handling of gas cylinder bottles.
- Undertake and complete daily / weekly / monthly checks of assigned delivery vehicles and complete appropriate checklists in accordance with our clients Operational Procedures
Experience and Requirements for the role:
- Current MR licence
- Must have a minimum 2 years driving experience
- Clean Driving History
- Experience with deliveries in the Parkes and surrounding area.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience adhering to health and safety requirements within the Transport Industry
- Motivated and able to work autonomously.
- Dangerous Good experience will also be looked upon favourably
