Working Area
With our main depot based in Burpengary, we service the following areas meaning this is a mobile role with travel to and from site required:
- Sunshine Coast Region
- Gold Coast Region
- Brisbane Region
- Lockyer Valley Region
- Toowoomba Region
From time to time, work may be away from home on a FIFO / DIDO arrangement, with your salary and relevant perks adjusted accordingly.
About the role
This position focusses on supporting the Construction Manager and Project Manager in the delivery of site work as per job and HSEQ requirements. This position is a critical link in the delivery of the Capital Works and Renewals projects and requires liaison with a wide variety of professionals including client representatives, subcontractors, and Senior Management.
The work requires working in small teams undertaking maintenance and refurbishment along water assets; therefore, it is essential you work alongside your team members on site on the tools. Compliance is essential and the worksite must be clean at all times.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking site tasks and activities to ensure completion of Job Cards.
- Liaise with Manager on status of daily schedules.
- Provide daily reports to management on site operations and progress.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with corporate policies, and procedures.
- Ensure all personnel comply with HSEQ practices.
- Ensure all materials and equipment are on site at start of day.
- Lead and coordinate job resourcing requirements with internal teams and subcontractors.
- Oversee all on site activities as per job card requirements.
- Plan, supervise and undertake construction/maintenance work activities on elevated reservoirs including:
• Painting works;
• Re-sheeting & repair works;
• Roof replacements;
• Aluminium platform installations;
• Reservoir related refurbishment items;
• Concrete works and general labouring duties;
• Pipework installation.
About you
Qualifications:
- Construction Card.
- Driver's licence.
- Confined space entry certified dated within 2 years or able to attain prior to employment.
- Working at heights certified dated within 2 years or able to attain prior to employment.
- Current First Aid & CPR.
